In a "FREE Country" with Freedom of speech is it right to silence those who oppose you?

I got violation notice for a "QUESTION!" I asked...a political question.

MY QUESTION IS: Isn't that simply proving that you don't believe in freedom of speech???

Part B of that QUESTION: Is it right to silence those who oppose you?

|||The point is that I have a list of deleted questions and some answers that all shed light on the charlatan Hussein Obama..to the lib whatever it takes to destroy, silence, intimidate the opposition is fair game..the ends ALWAYS justify the means. Do it to a lib??..they're a victim..I NEVER...let me repeat NEVER report a question or answer unless its downright vulgar...I believe that the best way to know what is in a persons heart and mind is to just let them talk...I like to let the libs make themselves look idiotic and childish...just let them ramble..throw in a few facts, shake it up, and let them rant...its precious....lol|||That is why the fairness doctrine should have the proverbial stake driven through its heart and buried forever. ||| we must protect the right to speak out . we just hope that some intelligence is used by those who do speak. we seem to think that our opinion is the most important, and every one should listen. the problem is, more often than not, the speaker does not have the facts down straight and in many cases ,is completely off base and not intelegently thought out. there are those who think vulgarity will enhance their message, when it only shows their ignorance. opinions are like noses, everyone has one. the question is, are they accurate. and sane.||| Freedom of speech has a contradictory nature in the fact that a majorities speech can crowd out and put down others. But it is the cornerstone of the majority vote: democracy. Democracy is after all the dictatorship of the majority.

|||PART B of your question is contradictory to the first. You have freedom same as another person.|||your freedom of speech ends where Yahoo! Answers guidelines begin

you are not forced to come here and participate and Yahoo! doesn't have to let you ask questions|||You still have "Freedom of Speech"......you just can not use the internet forum paid for by Yahoo to express things they find objectionable

They pay the electric bill....the payroll of the employees..... the server equipment cost

base on the fact that they OWN Yahoo.... they get to say what does or does not get posted on their site

in that they can be sued for what goes on Yahoo.....they get to control what goes on Yahoo

I know several people who did not like how another forum was run ( Mil.Com for one).....they started their own board so they could post what they wanted.....you are free to do the same

EDIT .....You want a better review system for complaints ..... a better appeal system..... I can support that.....often the people doing the reviews and handling the complaints allow their personal bias to influence their adjudication......|||There's more freedom of speech in Venezuela .|||I have also had many violations.

I have my answers reported as not a question or answer, even when they obviously are.

It is clear that there is bias.

There are, it seems, keywords that get questions deleted,

like l a r r y s i n c l a i r

because there is a liberal agenda.

Don't worry about it.

Remember that Obama has a huge number of people working the Internet to try and save his campaign.

How else could such a wackjob continue his campaign after being identified as being a friend to terrorists?|||i don't think so, in a free country everyone has the right to say what they want but in a humane and civil manner, if they oppose you, well, just listen and think of another way wherein you could oppose them too but in a nice way so they won't get offended. (",|||Apparently the fascist far left cannot handle the truth----we must be taught to think like the news media says we should think--all presses neatly into molds---and that is why they are trying to silence our voices. I see statements made here saying they need to vote the evil republicans out of office----a one party system----big brother is here.
