No offense, but I dislike music being blared loud, especially annoying music. I feel like as a taxpaying citizen I should have the right to silence in my house. Does anyone else have this same problem? There are no noise ordinances in my area so there is nothing we can do.|||Do I ever understand how you feel! Those inconsiderate bastards need to move out to the country where they came from until they develop some consideration for others.
Now, whether there is a noise ordinance or not does not matter. I live outside of city limits in the same scenario, and the sheriff told me that it is "disturbing the peace" rather than "violation of noise ordinance xxxxx" Same thing, different name. Call the police and report it. You will probably have to become a nuisance to the police before they take you seriously, but just keep on calling until they cite your neighbors.
Of course, you could always talk to your neighbors and tell them that you value your sleep and see how they respond. My neighbors have like 8 people living there in weird relationships (17-year-old daughter with 20-something live-in boyfriend, 23-year-old son with girlfriend, (why doesn't he get a real job?) etc.) and they only sleep from about 3 AM to 6 AM. Mine are also from that country to the south. Man, that place must never sleep. All those siestas must provide plenty of rest throughout the day, lol! Don't you just love multi-culteralism? It gets frustrating. I moved to the suburbs to be around other yuppies and family types like myself and I get the only Chicago transplants in the zip code living right next door. Good luck!|||They're just rude and have no idea how to live around people. Have you tried talking to them? You might attend a city council meeting and see if you can't get them to adopt a noise ordinance. Check with other people you know. It helps to have several people with you when you approach them.|||because they are probably partying with liquor and/or beer and they have chicks over and they are trying to get laid.
...just a guess|||It is called being inconsiderate. If you live in a city, you can call the police or ask for code enforcement if you live in a county. Cities and counties usually have noise ordinances and/or laws prohibiting annoying, disturbing music or broadcasts.
If more people were taught consideration as children, this world would certainly be a better place. Unfortunately....|||My best guess is that they do it because they are simply inconsiderate and inappropriate. Selfish comes to mind also. If there are no noise ordinances then look to disturbing the peace, curfew, anything you can dredge up to force an officer to respond. If you have a friend that speaks their language, it would help to try letting them know that you're done with their noise and you'll find a reason to get cops out if you're forced to but remind them...it's just so un-neighborly to push things to that point. Good luck.|||Yeah I know. I got a Mexican living in the apartment under me and sometimes he blasts his crappy music so loud my floor and walls vibrate.
