What does this quote mean? " no person is a friend who demands ur silence and denies ur right to grow"?

THANX!!!!|||It means if a person demands your silence (doesn't welcome your opinion, or contribution) and if they don't let you explore things that interest you (they just want you to agree with them and do what they want), then that person isn't really a friend.
