How does the right to freedom of speech apply to sitautions where minors are silenced by thier parents?

OK, let's say for example, that a child makes a sarcastic but true comment to their parents, and the parent tells them to "be quiet or I will punish you". How does the right to free speech apply?|||Freedom of speech applies when you reach 18. If you have to make sarcastic comments, you may and should be censured.|||You must respect your parents. they should be able to state their opinion. BUt if its disrespectful they have no right|||The "right" does not apply to a parent disciplining a child; the right is invoked when the government attempts to prevent or censor speech.|||Chilsren are not adults and, as such, do not have the same rights.

Their parents have responsibilities.|||Minors have few, if any rights, and they cannot file suit themselves, only their parents can file suit for them. Thus, the right does not apply at all.
